In this role, you will be part of the team in Honeywell Aerospace that is responsible for the design and analysis for rotor dynamics, engine dynamics, and design and analysis of shafting, bearings, gears, splines, seals, and lubrication systems. You will be exposed to complex problems across a wide variety of technical fields. You will assist our engineering team by performing dynamics, vibration, finite element or classical hand calculated stress/deflection analysis, fatigue life analyses, and test support through engine health monitoring and test data reduction.

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

You Must Have

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics

  • 6+ years of engineering experience with dynamic analysis

We Value

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering

  • Master's or PhD degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering

  • Experience using ANSYS for deflection, stress, natural frequencies, and forced response of components or assemblies

  • Experience in signal processing of dynamic test data in the frequency and time domains using nCode or Matlab

  • Experience with modal analysis and modal testing

  • Experience with rotordynamic analysis

  • Experience with gas turbine engines and high-speed rotating machinery

  • Motivated to drive improvements in a meaningful environment

  • Ambitious and able to work with little supervision, consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or necessitated by events

  • Possess a wide degree of curiosity, creativity, and flexibility

  • Ability to work with other team members ensuring timely completion of assignments

  • Ability to juggle many priorities and competing demands easily and effectively

  • Good interpersonal skills both written and verbal

  • Experience with gas turbine engines and high-speed rotating machinery
